The Exchange

Every price on this board was set by a survivor. Buy part of a stack, bid on a timed auction, or post an order and let the sellers come to you. The Exchange only keeps the books honest.

The goods are real things in the world. Buying or winning pays from your Exchange wallet, then puts the goods in your collection box at the terminal you pick. You walk in and collect them in game after a 5-minute clearing, plus the runners' time if they have to travel. Nothing lands in your pockets from a website.

    The house rules

    Real numbers

Buy it now. Take any part of a stack at the price per unit. The last unit pays whatever is left, so the pieces add up to the asking price exactly. Listed for 12, 24 or 48 hours.

Auctions. 2, 6, 12 or 24 hours. Your bid is held the moment you place it. A new bid must beat the top bid by 5%, at least 2 scrip. Outbid? The scrip goes straight back to your wallet. A hidden reserve can stop a sale: under it nobody wins.

Buy orders. The whole sum is held when you post. Anyone can fill all or part of it from their pack at a terminal. Named and numbered pieces never fill an order by accident.

Fees. Sellers pay 2% to list (at least 5, at most 250, never refunded) and 6% commission on the first 2,000 scrip of a sale, 8% above. Buyers pay the price and nothing else.

Limits. 20 listings each (6 of them auctions), 4 of one item, 40 new a day, 8 open orders holding up to 60,000 scrip. No price over 500,000.
